Owner Cindy Scott Day founded WriteNow LLC after several years as an independent freelance writer and thirty years as a professional writer and communicator. She recognized the need for an editorial services company that specializes in rush jobs.
Cindy – with bachelor’s and master’s degrees from Northwestern University’s Medill School of Journalism – was a newspaper reporter and then a magazine editor before entering academic media relations at the University of Notre Dame. For 15 years, as assistant director of public relations, she was in charge of publicizing the faculty’s science and engineering research to media locally, regionally, and nationally. She has been a member of the National Association of Science Writers since 1989.
Cindy has written hundreds of feature-length articles, thousands of news releases, and dozens of brochures on a wide variety of subjects. She has worked with the Internet as a communications medium since the early 1990s and produces and maintains e-newsletters, provides website content, and blogs regularly.
